Itinerary

Day 1: Pick-up from Leh airport, check -in to your beautiful homestay which has apples, apricots and kitchen garden, this day you acclimatise and take proper rest from your journey. Have Lunch and Dinner at the homestay, Get to know each other

Day 2:

Today, wakey wakey, Get ready after breakfast to explore Leh today. You will cover magnetic hill, Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Leh Stupa, and then go to Mall Road for lunch and shopping time, enjoy beautiful cafes and then go to Leh Palace to see sunset, go to Hall of Fame and then come back to your homestay for Dinner. Retire for the day.

Leh – Sham Valley Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing on the Leh – Srinagar Highway.
Visit the Hall of Fame This is a museum maintained by the Indian Army showcasing their strength during the
different wars fought, Spituk Monastery which is also knows as Kali Mata Temple & Gurudwara Patthar
Sahib supposed to be built to mark the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to this area. Proceed further and experience
the effects of magnetic Hill which is set to defy the law of gravity and admire the confluence of holy Indus & After visiting Sangam, visit Shanti Stupa. Later day free to explore the local market at one’s
disposal. Return back to Leh Hotel for an overnight stay

Day 3

Get ready for the ultimate expedition. After breakfast, you will pack a short back pack for 3 days journey (Keep rest of the luggage at back of Leh Hotel and you will return back there)

Leh – Khardung La – Nubra Valley
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh) via
Khardung La pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. Enroute, admire
the spectacular views of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardung La Pass (18,390
feet). After spending some time at Khardung La, proceed to Nubra. After Hotel check-in, enjoy camel Safari
in the evening.
Stay overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4:

Turtuk Visit
Post breakfast, we will visit Turtuk village, which is a place Annexed by India only after the 1971 war. Explore
the village of Turtuk the village offers views of beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley. Though a muslim
village, there are few gompas located on the plateau above Shyok River and there is a old royal house to see
in village. Return to Hundar by the evening for a night stay.

Day 5

Nubra to Pangong via Shyok
We will start the day following the same route towards Leh till we reach Khalsar. From the Agyam bridge,
we will take the left route which leads us to the villages of Shyok and Durbuk. The road after Shyok is good
but very steep. After Durbuk, take left towards Tangtse and follow the traditional route. Drive further to
Pangong Lake one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas. Situated at
14000 ft, more than half of the lake is within Chinese Territory and only one third part lies in India. Explore
the lake area, might catch some rare wildlife.

Day 6 :

Pangong Lake to Leh
Early morning enjoy the picturesque view of Sun rise on the lake. After breakfast drive back to Leh, take a
short halt at Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. Enroute visit Shey monastery and 3 idiot
school if time permits. Arrived Leh by evening. You may go to Mall Road to collect any souvenirs if not done before and also watch Wall of fame night show in case it’s not covered earlier on Day 2
Stay overnight in Leh.


Day 7 :

Departure from Leh
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Journey ends with Sweet Memories
of Ladakh.

  • Have your vaccination certificate handy, Download Arogya Setu app, if your booster is due, recommend to get it
  • If you have recently go covid, we will advise you to get all your check-ups done before you book and travel
  • Wear masks at public places and please manage that your safety is in your hands.
  • No alcohol & smoking during hike & adventure activities. There would be separate window and space (usually at night) to have these at campsite/homestay for interested people.
  • No Luxury. We assure awesome memories every trip, but not awesome facilities! We provide basic facilities in terms of food, travel & accommodation.
  • The itinerary is fixed. No special requests to change itinerary/schedule are permitted..
  • Absolutely No littering during our travels. We swear to protect our environment.
  • Co-operate with the organizer(s) in following the schedule set for the day (especially getting up and getting ready in the morning). This will ensure travellers won’t miss out on the real fun part – that is traveling.
    • Every traveller is responsible for his/her for your own safety while traveling with Banjara and Gypsy. Don’t indulge in any illegal or silly activity that causes harm to you or fellow travellers.
  • Every traveller is expected to sign a liability/waiver form given by the organizer(s) after boarding the vehicle that discharges Banjara and Gypsy of any unexpected incident like injury/death/theft etc.
  • Unexpected situations: It may happen we do not cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary because of unpredictable reasons like bad weather, wild animal presence, abrupt blocking of sites by the police/forest department, delay in travel because of an issue with our group itself, traffic conditions etc. In most cases, if the time permits, organizer(s) will take travellers to an alternative place. But in some cases, we may have to skip a place altogether.
  • Travellers are expected to respect each other and help each other. Avoid discussing sensitive matters like sex, politics and religion/caste/race.
    Using foul or abusive language, eve teasing, arguing with fellow travellers/organizer(s) and/or involving in physical assault will not be accepted and will stand a chance of being deserted by Banjara and Gypsy
